Initial Notification: On May 23, 2019, the NOAA SSC was notified that two loaded fertilizer barges (DAP) broke free from the Oakley Terminal along the Arkansas River due to flooding in eastern Oklahoma. The barges struck and then sank at the Webbers Falls Lock and Dam 16 at approximately 12 PM local time. The USCG is requesting fate and behavior of the spilled material.
