Initial Notification: On October 30, 2017 the F/V Ben & Casey, a steel hulled fishing vessel, sank, with a potential 14,000 gallons of marine diesel on board. Vessel is in 62 ft of water, approximately 4 miles offshore of South Padre Island, and approximately 10 miles north of the Mexican border. No discharge currently reported. On October 31, USCG District 8 and Sector Corpus Christi requested fate and trajectory for diesel fuel on board.
