Initial Notification: On August 3, 2017, the USCG Sector Mobile notified the NOAA SSC of an incident involving a barge carrying 2500 tons of anhydrous ammonia. Barge reportedly caught fire and was cut from tow. Barge is adrift NE of Cat Island (Miss. Sound) south of Pass Christian, MS. USCG is requesting support on hazard analysis.
