Initial Notification: On June 14 2017, USCG Marine Safety Unit Huntington (Sector Ohio Valley) contacted the NOAA SSC regarding a suspected discharge from the Marathon refinery in Catlettsburg , KY. USCG has requested support for the investigation into the release to include possible hindcast as well as fate and behavior information.
