Initial Notification: On March 9, 2017, the UTV Tom Rogers sank in the Mississippi River (LDB at LMR MM 950) near Wickliffe, KY No current reports of pollution, but potential is 3500 gallons of diesel and residual lube oil from bilge. Shoreline/on-water assessments up to 7-10 miles downriver are being conducted and OSRO is on-scene. Assessments will continue periodically until the vessel is salvaged. USCG is requesting fate and transport assessment of potential discharge given current river conditions.
