Initial Notification: On September 30, 2016, the USCG Sector New Orleans contacted the NOAA RRO to report that approximately 60 gallons of diesel fuel was discharged into the Mississippi River creating a sheen. The discharge occurred while moving a generator with a crane while setting up for a festival.
