TPIC Wellhead Leak, RMM 5, Southwest Pass; Venice, LA

Initial Notification: On July 27,2016, USCG Sector NOLA notified the NOAA SSC about a Texas Petroleum Investment Company (TPIC) wellhead leak which discharged 5-50 bbls of crude oil into a canal near Southwest Pass between River Mile Markers 4 and 5 (NRC#11546080). OSRO is on-site, oil has been boomed, and a natural rip-rap barrier separates the canal from the river.
