Initial Notification: On 01-JULY-2016, NMFS Protected Resources Division in Long Beach, CA contacted their NOAA SSC to request trajectory support for a Humpback whale carcass beached near the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). They intend to tow the carcass offshore as soon as possible and want to know how far offshore to tow it so it does not re-beach during the upcoming holiday weekend.
