Initial Notification: On July 30, 2014, the USCG Sector Guam notified the Oceania SSC that a 45-foot Japanese fishing vessel grounded on coral reef off Cocos Island, Guam at 0800 local time on July 30. The quantity of diesel aboard is unclear, however no sheens were observed in the area at the time of the report. The exact location of the grounding remains uncertain. Access to the area has been limited by severe weather conditions.
