Initial Notification: On November 26, 2013, the USCG Sector Upper Mississippi River contacted the SSC for a Worst Case Discharge trajectory for the UTV STEPHEN L COLBY, a 144ft tug. On November 25, 2013, the vessel struck a submerged object and sank near Le Claire, IA. All vents have been plugged though the ship is actively sheening. It contains 89,000 gallons of diesel and 11,000 gallons of lube oil. USCG has requested a NOAA trajectory and ADIOS model.
