Initial Notification: On October 31, 2013 the USCG Sector New Orleans notified the NOAA Scientific Support Coordinator regarding a discharge of crude oil from the Romere Pass 59 well. An estimated 3-5 barrels was released within the Delta National Wildlife Refuge. The leaked was contained by shutting down the wellhead at the surface.
