Initial Notification: On August 22,2013 the USCG Marine Safety Unit in Port Arthur, TX contacted the NOAA SSC to request a trajectory for a reported oil slick 15 miles south-southeast of the Calcasieu River Pass. It is not clear at this time if the material of the reported slick is actual oil or biological substance.
