Initial Notification: At 3:05 PM on April 24, 2010 an overpressure condition developed in the #1 tank on the T/B Kirby 11323 while attached to the LBC facility in Sunshine, LA. The overpressure caused an explosion that resulted in a 10' x 25' opening in the top of the tank. The tank contained 285 barrels of benzene.
