Initial Notification: On Saturday, 28 March 2009, the Regional NOAA Scientific Support Coordinator was contacted by USCG Sector New Orleans relative to a 200 yard long mystery slick reported as black oil. The observation was in the Mississippi River at MM 112. The USCG requested trajectory support.
