Initial Notification: On 19 March 2008, NOAA was notified of a 4-mile long slick in the Gulf of Mexico off Grand Isle LA. The source of the release is unknown. USCG requested a trajectory analysis, and such was provided by the Emergency Response Division’s Home Team in Seattle WA.
