Mystery sheen 2; Barbers Point, HI

Initial Notification: USCG Sector Honolulu called the NOAA SSC the afternoon of March 21 to report a mystery sheen off Barbers Point in Oahu. The sheen was observed at a location reported as 21 15 9N, 158 04 8W. Sector Honolulu requested the SSC examine photos of the observed sheen. A trajectory for the sheen and spot weather forecast for the Barbers Point area were also provided. A follow-up overflight conducted approximately 45 minutes later did not observe sheen in the area. A vessel survey observed an area of slight discoloration but detected no petroleum odor.
