Initial Notification: An explosion occurred late Tuesday night (3/21/08) while the M/V JILLIAN MORRISON was evacuating gas from a pipeline into a tank. The tank, not the pipeline exploded. A support vessel containing 24,000 gallons of diesel sank. The incident occurred some 24 km off the Louisiana coast.
