Initial Notification: At approximately 0830 CST NOAA Hazmat was notified by MSO Mobile of a capsized Offshore Supply Vessel (OSV), the LUKE DAVID, located 21nm south of Mobile Bay in position 29° 53'N, 088° 02'W with 9,500-11,300 gallons of diesel onboard. Winds are from the southeast at 20 knots and seas are 5 feet. At 0900 the Coast Guard reported sheen coming from the vessel and that the vessel is drifting to the northwest. NOAA Hazmat is providing trajectory and weather support. USCG district 8.
