Initial Notification: On Wednesday morning, November 1, 2000, the NOAA SSC for the Gulf of Mexico, Charlie Henry, was notified by MSO Galveston, Texas that the F/V CAPTAIN TONY PETER, was in danger of sinking at the position of 29? 20.3 N and 94? 31.0 W (approximately 8 miles southeast of Bolivar Peninsula). It has been reported that the vessel may be carrying as much as 5,000 gallons of diesel aboard. USCG district 8.
