Initial Notification: On October 17, 2000 one of the On Scene Coordinators (OSC) for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) request from NOAA the historical winds near a location where the EPA was conducting an investigation into asbestos movement from a vermiculite mine. The mine location was described as being at Boswell Corner, Virginia, which was reported to be near Louisa, Virginia. USCG district 5.
