Initial Notification: On October 10 USCG ACT Baltimore received notification form the NPS that they had recovered two 55-gallon drums in the Potomac River near James Creek Marina. ACT Baltimore notified Maryland State agencies. The Maryland Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) conducted tests on the drums and found a high pH in one of them. The State of Maryland requested Federal funds to remove the drums. USCG district 5. Keyword: potential.
