Initial Notification: On August 17, 1994, MSO Baltimore received a report of a black oil slick near pier #2 at South Clinton Street, Baltimore, Maryland. The USCG contractor boomed the slick before it could move out into the harbor. Later, a contractor successfully moved the oil from the containment area. MSO Baltimore traced the sewer line back to Hale Intermodal Transport Company at South Clinton Street. USCG district 5. Keyword: sorbent boom, sorbent pads.
