Initial Notification: At 0400 hours on June 2, 1994, the T/B 564 was at Standard Transpipe when the crew noticed strong JP-5 odors. At first light, JP-5 was observed at the Great Bridge Locks, Landing Bridge, and Centerville Turnpike Bridge-all locations along the transit of the T/B 564 on the Intracoastal Waterway (ICWW) from where it had loaded fuel in Hampton Roads. When or where the T/B 564 had been damaged and began to spill JP-5 is unknown. USCG district 5. Keyword: endangered species, sorbent boom, sorbent pads.
