Initial Notification: On December 14, 1993, MSO Wilmington began working with the City of Wilmington on the response and investigation of oil in a storm drain the emptied into the Cape Fear River in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. The source of the spill could have been a release of oil into the Cape Fear River on December 10, 1993, from the tug Dolphin. USCG district 5. Keyword: sorbents boom, sorbent pads, elastol.
