JP-4 Pipeline Spill; Burlington County, New Jersey

Initial Notification: At approximately 1000 on August 2, 1988, a municipal work crew digging holes for telephone poles struck an eight-inch underground jet fuel transfer pipeline. The product leaked for about 25 minutes before the valves could be turned off. The local fire department contained the spill and contractors removed the product. USCG district 1.
