Baron Beechcraft Crash; Palo Alto, California

Initial Notification: On December 17, 1986, a sic-place Baron Beechcraft airplane took off from Palo Alto, California Airport and crashed approximately 90 seconds later, killing all 6 passengers aboard, and spilling approximately 400 gallons of high octane aviation fuel and a very small amount of lube oil. The U.S Coast Guard Search and Rescue office, notified by witnesses to the accident informed the Coast Guard Marine Safety Office, Captain of the Port, Alameda, of the possibility of pollution from this incident.
