Initial Notification: On September 2, 1986, approximately 1,800 gallons of gasoline leaked from a pipeline which had broken loose during a fuel transfer at Hayward Industrial Park. About 800 gallons of the gasoline was contained in a bermed area, but about the remainder reached a storm drain with access to the southern portion of San Francisco Bay. USCG district 11.
