Initial Notification: On July 25, 2024, the M/T TERRA NOVA, a Philippine-flagged oil tanker carrying 396,000 gallons of industrial fuel oil capsized and sank in approximately 111 feet of water in the western part of Manila Bay, Philippines. An oil sheen and slick are present in Manila Bay. The government of the Philippines has made an official request for US government support. The National Response Team has been activated. NOAA is providing on-scene and remote support.
