Initial Notification: On July 17, 2024, NESDIS issued a Marine Pollution Surveillance Report (MPSR), for an anomaly offshore Bolivar Peninsula. The location of the anomaly approximately corresponds with two earlier National Response Center reports (#1404970, 1404788), which also reported sheens in that general location. Source may be an unmanned platform in State waters. Potential source location is under evaluation by Texas Railroad Commission (TRRC).
