Initial Notification: On 7/11/2023, USCG Sector Western Alaska US Arctic notified the SSC regarding a diesel spill that occurred the previous day. Shoreside Petroleum reported they were filing a portable tank when a discharge of an unknown amount occurred spilling diesel to the asphalt and into Whittier Harbor. The spill volume initially reported as unknown has been updated to 400 gallons.
