Initial Notification: On May 3, 2024, the USCG Puget Sound reached out to NOAA RRO to inform about 48-foot commercial fishing vessel that sank on the SW side of Henry Island, San Juan Island. USCG reports that the maximum capacity is 700 gallons. The owner reports that only 400-500 gallons are on board. Crew rescued via USCG SAR response. Currently unknown if nets are in water or on board the vessel. WA State requested RAR/232. NW SSC has initiated the form with the WA State Department of Fish and Wildlife. The Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund has been opened by USCG.
