Initial Notification: On the afternoon of 29 DEC 2023 there was an explosion and fire at Tradebe Environmental Services in Bridgeport, CT. A large amount of fire fighting waste water with unknown chemicals leaked into a storm drain. At approximately 1100 on 30 DEC 2023 USCG Sector Long Island Sound contacted the NOAA SSC to provide a situation update and request information from NOAA ERD.
