Olympic Pipeline Gasoline Spill at Conway Station; Skagit County, WA

Initial Notification: On December 10, 2023, the EPA notified the NOAA HDO and SSC NW of an oil spill from a BP/Olympic Pipeline near Conway, WA. The 20” pipeline carrying gasoline had a pressure loss and shut down the system at Conway Station, approx. 1 mile east of I-5. The pipeline is 4’ underground, there is an unknown max. potential of gasoline released. Oil is observed in nearby Bulson Creek, and a smell of fumes and gasoline in the area of the release. BP, EPA and WA Dept. of Ecology are sending responders. There are potential impacts to salmon migrations and resources
