Initial Notification: On November 3, 2023, a mystery oil sheen was first reported near the MARS recycling plant in Mobile, AL Investigations supported by an OSRO hired by USCG over multiple site visits indicated a slow but continuous flow of a petroleum product. The Mobile SSC is continuing to support USCG Sector Mobile on an ongoing investigation of this discharge.
