Initial Notification: On October 7, 2023, residents of Eden Isle, LA reported a white, milky appearance of the water within canals of their neighborhood. The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) requested the assistance of the NOAA SSC to help identify evaluate the material.
