Tornado-Damaged Warehouse Storing Ammonium Nitrate Fertilizer, Hayti, MO

Initial Notification: On December 13, 2021, the USCG Sector Lower Mississippi River Incident Management Division contacted the NOAA SSC regarding a damaged warehouse storing approximately 2 million pounds of granulated ammonium nitrate fertilizer. The warehouse roof was significantly damaged during a recent tornado. The SSC provided USCG with hazard and reactivity information and is standing by for further support as needed.
