Initial Notification: On June 14th, 2021, the Chemtool Inc. chemical plant in Rockton, IL, caught fire. The EPA assumed lead FOSC and has connected with NWS for spot weather forecasts. The USCG contacted NOAA SSC at 1830 to request river forecast modeling for the Rock River. The SSC connected the NWS River Forecast office and WFO Chicago directly to EPA on-scene responders requesting the products.
