F/V LONGSHOT; Long Island Sound

Initial Notification: The 50 foot F/V LONGSHOT caught fire near the entrance to Long Island Sound on Sunday morning March 20, 2016. The crew escaped without injury, but the vessel was full engulfed and burned to the waterline and then sank. The USCG Sector Long Island Sound contacted the NOAA SSC to determine potential fate of the fuel oil and resources at risk.
