Initial Notification: On August 31, 2015, the USCG Sector Delaware Bay contacted the NOAA SSC to report a spill offshore of Sea Isle, New Jersey. A broken shaft on the dredging vessel M/V ILLINOIS released an estimated 500 gallons of hydraulic fluid into the ocean. Sector Delaware Bay requested a spill trajectory.
