Initial Notification: On August 10, 2015, the MV Challenger with a barge in side tow, sank on the Nushagak River approximately two miles downstream of Ekwok, Alaska. The M/V Challenger is reported to have a maximum capacity of 300 gallons of diesel, with 100 gallons of diesel being reported onboard at the time of the sinking.
