Initial Notification: On June 4th, 2015, Sector Ohio Valley notified the NOAA SSC regarding a 40 foot x 2 mile rainbow sheen originating from the M/V Gorham's bilge discharge. The M/V Gorham is moored along the Kentucky side of the Ohio River near Bromley, Kentucky. USCG has requested fate, trajectory, and resources at risk for the potential release of 10,000 gallons of number 6 fuel oil.
