Initial Notification: On April 6, 2015, the USCG Sector New Orleans notified the NOAA SSC of collision between two deep draft vessels (M/V Privocean and M/V Bravo) in the Lower Mississippi River at River Mile Marker 160. M/V Bravo was transferring a heavy crude oil, and the transfer arms were damaged, spilling an unknown amount of oil into the river.
