Initial Notification: On October 17, 2014, the USCG Sector Puget Sound notified the NOAA SSC that a 67-foot recreational vessel, the "LADY A", sank approximately 1.5 miles off of the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge. The wood hull vessel is reported to have about 700 gallons of diesel aboard. A small sheen was observed when the vessel sank but no other release has been reported at this time. The USCG requested trajectory support in the event of a release, at the request of National Wildlife Refuge staff.
